DeJoy & Co. Hires Pearce as Tax, Business Valuation Associate

ROCHESTER, NY, October 27, 2022 – DeJoy & Co., a leading regional business advisory and CPA firm, has hired Joseph D. Pearce as an Associate for Tax and Business Valuation. In this position, he will prepare business and personal tax returns, including for the firm’s largest health foundation.

Pearce joined DeJoy & Co. in January 2021 as an intern, and has worked primarily with construction companies, real estate clients, and broker dealers. He has experience in preparing personal and gift tax returns; and in preparing Schedule K-1s for hedge funds and real estate entities. He also has assisted with audit work.

In addition, Pearce assists DeJoy & Co. in recruiting new hires and establishing peer-to-peer connectivity.

Previously, Pearce served as an accounting and marketing intern for Basketball New South Wales in Australia.

He holds a BS in Accounting with a minor in Finance from St. John Fisher.

Pearce volunteers as an assistant coach for the Wagner Soccer Academy in Rochester. An East Rochester resident, he enjoys soccer, hiking, and lifting. He volunteers as an assistant coach for the Wagner Soccer Academy in Rochester.
