DeJoy & Co. Promotes Benison, CPA, to Practice Leader for Financial Assurance Services

ROCHESTER, NY, March 15, 2023 – DeJoy & Co., a leading regional business advisory and CPA firm, has promoted Mollene B. Benison, CPA, to Practice Leader for the firm’s Financial Assurance Services. She also becomes Secretary of the firm’s newly created Board of Directors.

Benison, who joined DeJoy & Co. in 2007, has served both public and private businesses across multiple industries, providing business advisory, consultation, and financial assurance services. Formerly a senior manager at a Big 4 accounting firm, Benison has developed complex expertise around SEC regulatory compliance and business combinations.

As a longtime Partner at DeJoy & Co., Benison is known for engaging in an ongoing dialogue with each client and understanding them deeply – ensuring timely and effective service, while also playing an integral role in their decision-making.

Benison holds a BS in Accounting from SUNY Geneseo.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

A recipient of the Rochester Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 award, Benison also has been named a Woman to Watch by the Democrat & Chronicle. Most recently, Benison was awarded the RBJ Women of Excellence honoree. Her volunteer work includes serving as:

·        Board member and Vice-Chair for The Summit Federal Credit Union;

·        Board and Audit Committee member for the Geneseo Foundation;

·        Business Advisory Council member for SUNY Geneseo;

·        Board member and Treasurer for the Rochester Area Community Foundation; and

·        Investment Committee member for the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County.

Benison and her husband, Dan Lynck, live in West Henrietta and have one daughter, Rachel. In her leisure time, Benison enjoys golf, vacationing, and supporting local food establishments.
